When Michigan makes its annual international excursions, it’s an opportunity for the traveling players to gain an unparalleled educational experience, to learn about a country and a culture that they might had been able to otherwise.
But the team isn’t the only party who’s receiving an educational experience on its trip to South Africa.
While the team has had some interesting activities since arriving in Cape Town four days ago, including seeing the incredible vistas and touring the jail site where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated for 18 years, this trip isn’t solely about taking things in.
In a video posted by the official Michigan football Twitter account, the Wolverines can be seen teaching the game of football to South African kids. While the video might be brief, you can get a glimpse of the action, and the gratification on both sides — from those learning to those teaching.
