Mother, daughter mission trip to Africa ends abruptly amid coronavirus pandemic

There were no news reports of the coronavirus in Africa when a Chambersburg woman and her daughter, who lives in San Diego, left March 10 for a missions trip to Swaziland. Less than two weeks later, after much scrambling and many hours spent on the phone with airlines by people on both sides of the Atlantic, they got the last flight out of South Africa to the U.S. amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

American-made Whole House Fans Keep Missionaries Cool at African Ministry

An extraordinary Christian mission in northern Uganda can breathe a little easier today thanks to the installation of five Tamarack Technologies (www.tamtech.com) whole house fans.

With temperatures as high as 100 degrees Fahrenheit during the dry season, the three missionary families as well as the broader community housed there needed relief from the oppressive heat and humidity and found the answer in the Tamarack HV1600. Mission Co-Workers to Ethiopia benefit from community support Jul 17, 2019

Mission co-workers to Ethiopia, Than and Ruthina Veltman, are the recipients of funds raised from the annual Rummage Sale at Boyne City First Presbyterian Church. Each year the church and community members donate a variety of items and part of the proceeds are donated to a mission project.

Oklahoma church group on mission trip in Africa, leaves for US after traveling nightmare

An Oklahoma church group went on a mission trip to Africa.

It was a trip and mission of a lifetime but it turned into a travel nightmare.

They were trying to get home but ended up stranded, after two of their flights were cancelled.
