U.S. Naval Forces Europe Band “Topside” performed for 300 children and youths at the Johnson Jakande Tinubu Park in Lagos as part of their second visit to Nigeria this year. American Music Abroad (AMA) program sponsored by the US State Department and the U.S. Embassy in Cairo bring U.S. folk band “The T Sisters” to introduce their indie folk sound to Cairo.
The band features the vocal harmonies of sisters Erika, Rachel, and Chloe Tietjen. They performed public concerts and collaborated with Egyptian artists and leading workshops.
The United States Navy brass band on Wednesday thrilled students of the Department of Arts in the University of Lagos. Nigeria.
The band, which is based in Italy, is involved in efforts to strengthen ties with partner nations throughout Europe and Africa.
The performance was part of the troupe’s week-long public diplomacy outreach in Lagos. The band performed alongside that of the university.
