South Sudan President Salva Kiir has hired retired Ambassador Michael Ranneberger to link his government with America’s Donald Trump. In a two year contract, Kiir’s administration will pay $3.7 million (Sh375 million) to see Ranneberger better ties between the two countries.
The contract is between South Sudan’s government and Gainful Solutions, a lobbying firm run by Ranneberger and his partner Soheil Nazari-Kangarlou. Ranneberger was US Ambassador to Kenya under former President George W. Bush from August 2006, but continued under former President Barack Obama until May 2011. Read more
